Know the timeline before you pick the design

People skip this and regret it. Personalised pieces at ANKX take 3 to 6 working days to make, and shipping adds another 3 to 7 once the parcel leaves Jodhpur. So think of it as roughly 5 to 11 working days door to door. Delhi in November? Go to the top end of that, and then some. Everyone is ordering at once.

If the wedding is on the 18th, ordering on the 10th is a gamble. Ordering on the 1st is calm.

Weddings, Diwali, and the random birthday

For shaadis, welcome gifts with the couple's initials look good and don't weigh much, which your out-of-town guests will thank you for. Order a few more than your headcount. There's always a cousin's friend.

Diwali for the office is a different animal. Forty clients, one design, one box. Nobody cares if it's the fanciest option. They care that it arrived in one piece and their name was spelt right.

For birthdays, honestly, one small detail is enough. An initial. A date.

Old Delhi markets vs ordering online

Chandni Chowk is great for wandering around and Sarojini for a bargain. Neither is where you'll get a pendant with your sister's name on it by Friday. For that, order online, but read the product page first, because what you can customise changes from item to item. And check the name twice. Custom pieces can't be returned once they're made, unless something arrives damaged or wrong.
